I Keep Finding Myself Wanting to Hear – “And Now, Just One More Thing”

What a year it has been!  Three major Apple events, two Google events, an Amazon event and the introduction of a new tablet player, Microsoft.

I have watched and research each and every product release in an attempt to figure out what is going to be hot and what will not.  Apple has been especially busy this and have pretty much refreshed and updated their whole product line.  To recap;

  1. Introduction of next generation iPad (3rd generation) in March
  2. Update of Apple TV (3rd generation) in March to support 1080p
  3. Introduction of iOS 6.0 and Mac OS X Mountain Lion in June
  4. Introduction of iPhone 5 in September
  5. Introduction of iPad Mini in October
  6. Update of Mac Mini in October
  7. Introduction of next generation of iMac (7th generation)
  8. Introduction of 13″ Macbook Pro Retina

Phew!!!  That’s a lot of work!  Interestingly enough though, I find myself still wanting to hear that classic “Steve Job’s” line – “And now, just one more thing!”.

The one product that has been long rumoured but not yet delivered is Apple’s next generation television set.  There also is a lot of confusion and debate over what that means.  Many analysts speculate that Apple is really not interested in selling TV’s giving the very low margins and high level of competition.  Other predict that Apple will come out with a new generation TV set top box (Apple TV new generation) that will be connected to the cloud to facilitate PVR functionality and also integrated to your cable providers feed.  The interface is expected to be revolutionary.

Just want actually transpires, we will have to wait an see.  For me, I am looking forward to hearing – “Now, just one more thing!”.
